Farm CSA WEEK 22
This is the final official CSA pickup for the year! Thank you so much for participating in our CSA program and keep an eye out on our website to be notified about next year's program.
If you used your "skip" to miss any CSA's and have had weeks added to the end then your next pickup will be in the Farm Stand. Any extension would have been confirmed in the email you received on Sunday, October 16th at noon.
Please reach out to firstname.lastname@example.org or ask Casey at CSA pickup if you have any questions!
Note: CSA contents may vary slightly bag to bag depending on availability and consistency of the crop. We are not able to customize bags for specific customers.
This week's recipe is Roasted Buttercup Squash by Gina Matsoukas from Running to the Kitchen blog
From the recipe's author:
"[Buttercup Squash] sweetens up beautifully when cooked and the flesh is nice and smooth textured. Not stringy at all like spaghetti squash or even acorn can sometimes be. [...]
Buttercup squash was actually used as one of two squash (the other being butternut) to breed honeynut squash. The two squash taste very similar despite looking quite different"
If you have a winter squash, pepper or another CSA produce recipe you enjoy - please share it in the shared album! Post a photo of what you've done with your CSA and include the recipe in the caption. I can't wait to see all that you create with the share.
Thank you for participating in our CSA program and enjoy the produce!
